Your utility and your tariff

In Connecticut you choose one of two tariffs, once, on the application. It is the most consequential box on the form.

Two tariffs, two different deals

Buy-All compared with NettingUnder Buy-All the utility purchases everything the system produces at a locked rate. Under Netting the house uses power first and exports the rest for bill credit, and a Solar Energy Adjustment is charged on total production.Buy-AllEverything your roof makesSold at a locked rateYou keep buying power as normal. No Solar Energy AdjustmentOften wins for a high-export roof.NettingEverything your roof makesUsed in the houseExported for creditSolar Energy Adjustmentcharged on TOTAL production, not exportsA battery does not avoid it.
You pick one on the application and it holds for the term. Helio models both against your usage before filing — the right answer genuinely differs house to house.
