Backup is a design problem, not a product brochure.
A grid-tied array goes dark in an outage unless you plan otherwise. We size batteries around the circuits that matter — well, heat, refrigeration, office — and we will tell you when a standby generator is the more honest answer for a long Connecticut outage.
Electrical is also the constraint hiding behind most “we can’t do heat pumps” quotes. A 200A panel upgrade, a dedicated EV circuit, and a clean interconnection are ordinary Helio work, not a change order surprise.
